To login to students6 you will need to use an ssh client. If you use Linux or MacOS then you will have an ssh client immidiatly available to you. For full functionallity on a mac you will want to install Xquartz. On windows you mat want to install MobaXterm to have a graphical ssh client or you may install WSL (Windows Sybsystem for Linux) to have a linux command line ssh client.
For traditional ssh command line tools type the following (substituting in your ITS username in place of ap12345)
ssh ap12345@students6.ph.qmul.ac.uk
When you login you will first be prompted for your password. This is you students6 password that SPCS Computing has issued to you. This is not your ITS password. When you type this password you will not see anything on screen: just type blind!
When you hit enter/return after you type your password you will be prompted for your "Students6 Auth Code". This is a 6 digit code that changes every 30 seconds. After you enter this code and hit return you will be logged in.
Note you may have to login with your ITS username and passowrd to see your SPCS Authenticator Code.
